NEWCorp ~ New Education for the Workplace
Working with at promise students is rewarding in so many ways but the one thing that I find most rewarding about working with this populations of students is that they are grateful. Grateful for the support, encouragement and vision that we help them to maintain as they are succored through the program. Our state of the art technology based academic program coupled with a hands on trade experience of their choice helps to reinforce their hope that as each of their indivdual goals is attained the future that they envisioned for themselves is that much closer, obtainable and ultimately a sustainable reality.

Through honesty and accountability, our at-promise youth are served and empowered to take ownership of their growth. Nothing is more rewarding than watching a student move from a position of dependence to a position of confidence and self-determination.

The most rewarding aspect of this position is the success of the students who pass their GED exams that didn’t think it possible. We do this as a team and it has been successful. These students don’t feel like they are entering the exam alone.

My experience with the Job Corps and NEWCorp partnership has been quite positive. I introduced myself to the Job Corp staff in a one on one basis. Each and every one of them told me how Job Corps works and I listened to them as I would to friends. We are in it together, so to speak, and the feeling is that we are successful together.

Two things make New Education for the Workplace a winning proposition for the Albuquerque Job Corps Center. First of all, we invest in technology and curriculum utilizing technology.  Secondly, we individualize for every student by developing an Individual Learning Plan.  Every student knows what they need to work on and why.
